I’m Bianca, a Mexican-American artist–designer, and educator. My practice involves working in a transdisciplinary manner to re-interpret colonial histories and marginalized identity through investigations on digitization, language, and emerging technology. In tandem, I design books, exhibition identities, and websites with collaborators in the social, arts, and culture sectors.
As an educator, I am actively developing decolonial pedagogical frameworks that center transformative learning as a way towards collective liberation.

Made with a custom program I wrote in Python. It's a fairly simple set of instructions that tells the computer how to modify an image and stitch it back together into a gif.

Recent video work for the wonderful José Ibarra and his amazing project Table Manners over at the University of Colorado Denver Department of Architecture and Planning. Videos 2 and 3 were made collaboratively with Jessica Flemming––I drove to her apartment in New York with my camera, tripod, greenscreen (poster), and a grocery bag full of disposable plateware which we used for filming multiple stop-motion vignettes.

Free Gaza, free Palestine—end the genocide, end the occupation!
——————————
A swift response is not a
Carrier ship
And then a second,
Some more press releases
And public appearances.
This swift response showed us
The power plays of
Him and him—
Value political alliance
Over Gazan lives.
Over hostage negotiations.
Over Palestinian freedom.
He takes a sip of water.
2,000 sailors are in his cup
These are only actors though—
Trained to project military strength.
He places the cup on his nightstand.
Sets his alarm.
The water in his cup has settled
For the night.
He goes over his list:
20 miles of new border wall––check.
The U.S stands with Israel—said this 30 times today—check.
The power plays of him
Are to destroy
Israeli democracy
So he can stay where he is.
When he gets insecure
He pushes a button—
Bribes get paid,
Bombs get
Dropped.
6,000.
He calls the other him
He answers
Alliance,
Unity,
He,
Him.
Just them.

Cease fire now!
Free Gaza!
Free Palestine!
